This is the first work in the ‘Songlines’ series, in which Griet receives a song with nine lines of text and nine symbols. It represents purity, the alchemy of man, the artist. It is about transforming something from non-matter into matter, a deep connection with the essence of creativity and the power of transformation.
The composition of ‘Dragon Whispers’ is dynamic and enchanting. At its centre is a female figure in a colourful and detailed outfit, who appears to be dancing. Her movements evoke a magical energy, symbolised by the dragon-like shapes rising from her hands and surroundings. The flowing lines and shapes create a sense of movement and transformation, as if the energy is flowing through the canvas and bringing it to life.
The work exudes an atmosphere of magic and mystery, inviting us to explore the hidden powers within ourselves. The dancing figure and the surrounding energies suggest a sense of freedom and unlimited potential.
