It started as a landscape in acrylic during a Vedic Art class. I didn’t like it, put the work aside, let it rest and had no idea what to do with it. A few weeks passed. So I took this background and decided to use transparent paint to loosely create the eagle from the background. The layering that I love so much makes it seem as if the landscape and the eagle are one.
People sometimes say, “fly like an eagle”. By gaining a high overview of everything, you sometimes have the tendency to make decisions from your head. This eagle asks you to dive into the matter, to feel, to experience the earthly. That’s how it feels to me. Being present in a multidimensional way.
