Feeling Essence, a mixed media piece with an emphasis on oil paint, measuring 80x80x1.5cm.

This artwork was created by mixing gesso and pigment as a base layer. Charcoal was then used to draw on top, and the piece was finished with oil paint. All of this gives the work tremendous depth.

The face is the eye-catcher of the work and draws the viewer into the work, as it were. Being very close together and connecting. Real connection goes beyond words. What feelings does the work evoke in you? What feelings do you experience when you are close to someone?

Learning to appreciate your own feelings, to feel them, to live them and to truly experience them. To then live by them and be present in the moment.

The challenge we have as original human beings is to experience, feel and express our true selves.
