This work is built up from a basic drawing in blue ballpoint pen, after which layer upon layer of transparent oil paint was applied. This method creates a subtle layering that gives the work depth and character.
The woman in the portrait radiates a serene calm. Her gaze and posture convey a life full of experiences, as well as a deep acceptance and inner peace. She lives in confidence — with herself, her voice and her path. There is no rush, no urgency. Only the moment counts. A quiet strength that invites the viewer to also pause for a moment in the Now.
